(dimag ko) shot 1,2,3...

Memories in March...
Full 3 Dhamaal...
Mod...

In an attempt to watch movies of a different kind , last week I chanced upon these 3 movies , courtesy Youtube.
Memories in march is all about real life. On its face, the movie has no great song or dance sequence to it. There is drama....of course, real drama. Only two things happen in the movie- A mother is coming to terms with her only son's death and second, accepting the fact that he was gay. There are some movies that draw you into the scenes, and this was one for me. Nothing too sentimental or nothing too melodramatic! It was refreshing to see a mother come to accept her son's gay partner as a friend, much like how she would treat her bahu-to-be. The subtleties in relationships and how the people in the ad world reveal or rather conceal their emotions is quite neatly shown. Rituparno Ghosh is a strong writer and definitely knows to act too.
Many could pass this off as a silly or not-so-great movie. I would say, look at its concept, the characters and the acting. Rest is just there!

Full 3 dhamaal is a marathi movie by Mahesh Kothare about three wonderful women ( as the director chose to call them) tormented by their saas and gharelu kit-kit. They meet by chance and revive the college-ke-din and the fun by planning a secret outing for the New year's eve. I liked a few dialogues...and the funny comical way it was enacted. Half way though, I knew where it was going and exactly, it doomed in the end. Was it even worth watching? That was the feeling I got after I finished it...yeah, I forced myself to watch it completely.
Since I know marathi , say 85% well, the comedy and certain lingo from this movie certainly amused me. overall I'd give it a 5/10. It could have been much better knowing that Marathi cinema is no short of amazing stuff. Anyway, my purpose was served. I needed to revise my Marathi, now that I am outta jai-Maharashtra!

Mod. I 'd say Nagesh kukunoor hume kiss mod pe le aaye? He wants us to think that his movies are really good. yeah, some of them were good. Now c'mon Nagesh you want us to pass you on every damn movie you make? And for heavens..you seem to have a life long contract with Ayesha Takia post Rockford days. Tasveer 8X10 was wierd too. But you had something to work it out-some suspense. Talking about this movie, which person (fool) is going to wait for 10 years to give a gift to his crush? Ok even further, this fool jumps to his death because his best friend prompted him to and eventually this best friend has a dual personality!!! you kiddin me? And the age old bollywood doctor (Anant Mahadevan) offered his services at the mental asyllum only to let Ayesha Takia cure his patient with the TLC in the end. What did you want to show in the movie? The daughter whose mom left - with her dad had to have some completion , the father was trying to quit drinking and start teaching music, this daughter repairs watches and daily repairs the one that the dual-personalitied person brings along...(oh what patience in today's world). You made it an 'and -they-lived-happily-ever-after' movie.....why?
Only things worth appreciation- the Ganga station, the train and the scenary! A very tranquil atmosphere in all. (Kudos)Kukunoor....you took science to a whole new level! I wonder if this is you or your alter ego?

Net-working

My view on networking is as popular as an unknown belief. Too much to think about huh?!
In the last 5-7 years, so many forms of social networking have been nurtured to affect the public in different areas of their lives. A Facebook for general gossip and keeping tab on friends, A Google + for 'select or restricted' gossiping, a LinkedIn for being nice to professionals, a Twitter to jab out your second by second updates, a Flickr for those who talk through photographs, a Tumblr, a Posterous for an effortless blogging, and blogger for this kind of deep thought! Each of these is a way of telling people.." I am here".

People are here either to seek approval and acceptance or to market themselves with or without any takers for their say. Many may think or some do think I am weird. Although I am seen on these sites, I honestly am not a fan.Look at Linkedin...Holy recommendations! Whoever is going to be honest about your work and your attitude  in public. Show me a negative recco and I will become active on Linkedin that moment. Simple correlation I have come to establish- The new way of knowing if people are looking for new openings or are in between jobs, you see these 'will you recommend me' things in your inbox. The guy may have prepared just one estranged report for me at work, and I am supposed to recommend him. For what? ya ya..That's another thing that I even accepted his request to connect online...'to-be-nice-professionally'. Bullcrap...500 connections, 235 connections or say even 10. I say, all fake list of adjectives being put to test!!

Every single soul is selfish. They connect for a reason they foresee a benefit. I may be networking incorrectly, but the world understands it better this way alone. A vendor meeting and a cup of coffee at Starbucks, business talks and few casual lines..that's all it takes. Next moment this vendor is on someone's Facebook peeping into personal life, on LinkedIn trying to literally hack into other connections ( to build his business of course)! Its no longer networking because I know this person and I want to be in touch, its more of 'how can I extract the maximum out of this relationship/connection' socially or professionally. To those who are mere participants to the networking activity, the aim is to enslave a person (profile)so as to get filled with timely news/updates in a way that encourages one to speak at length about that person. Don't you quote a silly status update by your friend while you are discussing something similar with a third person. You add a flavor to your talks and will never go out of bull crap stock. On a positive side, a YouTube video lecture posted on FB helps you pep your client meeting with a new idea! See, you ought to benefit in some way. In all, Zuckerberg's tainted relationship with his girl back then has made him rich now and us-his slaves! Even more, FB selectively puts in updates that you get to see, and think that is what you are meant to know. What a pity!

A few weeks back I saw a CNN news report on a teenage guy who got rid of his cellphone, his FB page and everything to do with online networking realizing just how insane we all have become. I would say he went a little too extreme delivering notes and letters to his girlfriend on bike. A basic phone call is all that is needed to keep in touch, genuinely. Every time I decide to quit these social media of staying in touch. But I am selfish after all. I need my daily share of gossip (which I later on classify as being a bad habit), I want the job market to know me and my qualifications and give me a million dollar offer someday, I got to tell people which places I visited and give them a vicarious visit. And since I am human, I will continue to do this and bicker about it too!

Orange with an O

Funny that I even thought of writing about an orange of the zillion things in the world!Of late the new fond love for this fruit or maybe its abundance at home is making me eat it, of course with a  liking.

There are a plenty of objects and phenomenon that explain the beauty of nature, the beauty in creation. Most often, these pass off as the daily day things which hardly anybody would care to notice.Have you looked at an orange? Meaning beyond its color and that it is an edible item. I observed that each of the segments of this fruit binds itself so well to eventually form a spherical shape.I saw the tiniest of segments just give up growing to be big- just to conform to this norm. If they have taken shape, they fit themselves into this mould. That's the nature of orange and that's nature for you.

You may think what relevance could a fruit have to a person. Historically, traditionally, socially, geographically and even biologically we are designed to function within a norm- knowingly or unknowingly. This will be seen majorly in our interactions with the society and with ourselves. Restricted or modified, as you choose to call it! We are all Oranges in our place- or better, we are the segments within a fruit. At one time,we can be present in only one of the spheres (fruit). We may be big or small within, but as a fruit we become whole. But mother nature, thanks to today's science, has a mastery in DNA dynamics. So we can still say that we exist in other oranges from the same tree, the same farm etc. In our world we live in many spheres- school, office, family, gym etc. In some, we may take full form as a segment, in some we may just get squeezed trying to grow up, or show our prominence .But that's not saying you compromised or you succumbed. The big picture is important, the sphere is. Doing what one is supposed to do will fetch results, no matter how big or small that work is.
Trying to follow a norm wherever we go will make us complete and happy- that we are able to conduct and serve ourselves the way the world wants us to be. A sweet juicy fruit (here)!Imagine the other way where each segment is trying to just grow fully and causing an internal chaos within the fruit. Will the orange still remain an O? Maybe not. So far, nature hasn't shown me any deformed oranges.
I wish, eating an orange could melt away people's ego and let go for the big O(range)!

Seasons in us

Seasons change for a reason
colors do for the season
Come spring, come summer, come fall
There's beauty in all

My tree, my friend
This has become a trend
No matter what, you are there
Sweet memories you share

Life in the living you bring out
with lessons you have learnt not
Birds and squirrels may desert you
standing still though

you change with the breeze
what we fail with ease
you stand tall, yet no attitude
we have one, no altitude but

It's cold, the leaves are clinging
you tell them it's worth leaving
letting go comes with no choice
yet you rejoice

seasons change for a reason
colors do for the season
Come spring, come summer, come fall
There's beauty in all

unEXpected people...Unexpected stories

There are times when you will pity yourself for having trusted someone so much that they failed you. Failed you at your own way of looking at things...maybe hinting at you to change your way!
well the proverb goes right...we look so long at the closed door that we fail to see the one that is open. we yearn to get what we need...we fail to take what's coming to us naturally. we wait to hear from those we 'want to hear from'...that we fail to hear a new experience or sound from an unfamiliar friend. Our brain(s) are accustomed to feeling bad or not so right after someone pushes us down the ditch. It's time to tune it differently..just think" the game has changed or the rules have".
Expecting everybody to share with you what you want to know about their life is like making an investment and asking for returns beyond what is normal. Little does the other person know that you are so curious to know everything about him or her. But we create the game, we set the rules. Letting someone (someone that we don't expect/like) ask us questions about our lives seems like the least of our expectations. Similarly you need to understand that everybody plays a game and sets rules for themselves. You want to participate, follow their rule. Your rules and that of others may overlap...that is all you need to break in. Once you do, you will see no big deal. Most often, you will end up realizing that you both play the same kinda game and your stories and miseries are no different. This is what some people call 'wavelength' I guess. And then when one tries to make the faintest of change to the tuning or the rules of his game....the other opts out of the game. Two different ways just don't happen...No wonder you come across so many people whom you like at one point in life and  a few years down the line, you cant stand them. The ones that are constant in your life....do not have anything different happening than you.Old friends coming together is just a matter of convenience. Me liking your game and its rules will make me play it, no matter how old I am or how many years later we meet (if we do).Everything is a matter of personal choice...friendship, experience, feeling, location, health.

Sad day for country P

Osama Bin laden is dead! he was killed by the US military. no one else was involved. period.

No matter how hard the bloody P try to prove the point that their piece of evidence did help the US to track Osama...It is just a 'me too' in the ceremony of claps or it is an effort to veil their blackened face one more time. Bloody P, you have the guts to still say that you wanted to help...and you did..when the whole wide world knows the truth.
C'mon!! Osama was living some 65 miles or whatever distance closer to your military base and your dogs didn't know this? Are you bull(shit)..ing the US of A......get your ass kicked first!
More than Osama's death, I'm glad they found him in your land. For years you have been claiming innocence in the name of blatant violence.
Whatever they say for US and its unreasonable attacks on Iraq( I don't know much to take a stand)...one thing is clear, when you mess with the US..you better run for your life. They ain't gonna leave you! For all right reasons, they have every right to. Who asked you to toy with their twin towers, their people and their might?
I hope India learns one tiny lesson from the US....do what is right for your people.Don't just talk talk and talk. When it was of utmost importance, the US did not involve the P bastards for one bit of discussion. And what have you been discussing for ages? Desi P...Do you ever speak? I suppose you don't intend to. & desi PM....You have only been talking!!
As an individual, I definitely have preferences, likes and dislikes. Here, my strongest dislike is only for the country P...come hell or heaven! US...kudos to your efforts, you kept your word.
Desi...we are too busy with internal politics and scandals...we have no time for larger issues, do we? Ajmal kasab...out and out a wanted man...! what are you doing...feeding him extra comfort food and all possible Arthur jail luxuries? 1993 blast....court cases still on and will be on till I die...maybe. Other cases...Ahh the list is endless.
All I want to say is...do what you ought to be doing!! Don't just clap for the US.....> you are docile in the world eyes, but you have a great army/navy in place, nuclear power..yes.
Simple saying in hindi " Loha garam hai...."

Vinnaithandi Vaaruvaayaa

Well this is a movie form last year...should I say the year when someone 'vinaaithandi Vandaan' for me?
Should have watched it last  year because I heard a lot of people raving about the song omana penne...
Finally I am glad I saw the movie...not great/great/good/average..what do you expect me to say?
Basically the Bollywood formula is fit into my head. So according to that, its an average movie. Imagine a Ranbir or Priyanka doing what Trisha and karan Johar look alike simbu did. I can bet all the penniless pounds I have, they would have overacted. Damn the desi beats that would definitely accompany it..
But the story is so like the on-off relationship status that most people of the FB gen have. Now is there-its off-its yes- oh no! And finally the dream shaadi happens...again respecting hindu and christian customs both.Nice.
Tamil movies, I have never been a big fan of. But over the years, I have heard southindians tell me that the southindi movies are not bad infact. Except for the occassional lungi-lifts and difficult to digest stunts, the acting is more real. When you see them acting, you know its their acting!I think I agree.Overall a good movie.Music makes a movie down there in tollywood!!

Chained

Bound by beads of love
so close ,so inseparable
the strand that wove us;invisible
Beauty is by beads, strength unspoken of

Each bead is complete in itself
Is beautiful
yet, with you the chain is woven
you complement, just as I do

Be they the same beads, a simple chain
the different they are, more beautiful
In isolation not known
until you choose to weave

No two chains are the same
look and make maybe be so
difference not you or I will see
each has a story to say; a chain, its beads

only love binds it well
let not ego dwell
easier said than done
every story has its part one!

Bound by beads of love, now & forever

1610 in 2010

Its a very historic day...for me at least. My last birthday as a spinster!! hoohaa...

How on earth do you get a lazy one to celebrate her birthday when she loves being her lazy best?
The lazy one doesn't really fancy her birthday celebrations....but feels that everybody else should celebrate their special day!
She loves surprises but is unaffected if she doesn't get one too...
She has loads of tiny butterflies now that wedding is around the corner, but can't decide whether she's happy or anxious or both.

oops...this birthday's reminding  her.... she's nearing 30's....SHIT!!next 3 years....
So far she knew where she would be for her birthday...but the next one will be special....!
And somebody just reminded her of this bolly song.." yaad rakh....jeevan ke pal hai chaar.Marne se pehle jeena seekhle........aalsi kahinki"

aiyoooooooooooooooo premii...happy birthday!!

Sweet pie...is that my name?

Googli bai, gunda, gundali, chinnu, chintu, chikkuli,bumli-dumli, golu golu, merly, disco rani....

Well...each of these words even when pronounced correctly....has no real meaning.
Yet I seem to have acquired a kind of fondness for this no-meaning lingo which I have been chanting to my lil niece since few days.
Is she a kid or am I one? You can really not differentiate when it comes to playing with this little bundle of surprise:)
Each day is new for her and for me...same games, new names....
Anything to see my darling niece smile...
I surprised myself by revising my nursery rhymes..courtesy youtube>...insy-wincy spider, twinkle-twinkle, old mac donald, Baa Baa black sheep, humpty dumpty....phew!!!
She is a tiny one...but definitely making everyone run around...

Prema aunty writes this so that she can later laugh at herself for becoming a kiddo....:))
and she appreciates all those who have a fascination for giving people around funny ( pun-ny) names....she says..it's an art that few know.

There's always a phase

Most times, you have an idol...somebody you really look up to. This somebody really inspires you to do what you have planned. The best part is that you don't realize you are putting in any extra effort to achieve/do that something, even if you really are. It becomes a natural combination of good things happening to you, happy hormones flowing within you and the whole world smiling at you.
At other times, its you looking back at the same you that was! "Oh...how energetic and enthusiastic I used to be...how well organised I was.....how fit I was.....God knows where I got that kind of motivation from"...etc.you are your own idol then...Probably when you are done with inspiring yourself enough, you look outside for more.Else believe it or not...You are NOT BOTHERED!!
Strangely ,everything works and moves in phases. There's always a high and low for everything...be it your markets and economy, the weather and temperature, the desire to eat spicy and then sweet, the interest in comedy movies and the sad/love stories...up down..up down. sounds silly..> movie/market/food/people.doesn't it?
Everything in your life gets a piece of footage here...
The problem is not with this swing, but with the fact that when it's a low....the world doesn't know! And if it knows....it's anyway late.
But when you are trying to come up the hill.....the world wants to know why, when, how and who threw you down? 'Coz it shows! sometimes you don't have an explanation....you come up with something weird- just to call it a REASON.
Most people will not and can not understand your reasoning...so they will decide to tag you... The reasonably smart ones will leave the explanation ...definitely give you a dose or two for your uninformed hibernation, but then take on from there. And what a relief...you are so thankful to their expression of sanity...JUST BE! Quite naturally you do not have an explanation to what you did...or what happened. You wanted to and that's why you witnessed it. To bull...with the reason! * conditions apply----All this while you are not intentionally harming somebody!

Again....hearing the same.." oh..look what you have done to your self...you are ignoring your health..."
" why do you want to quit now...." "what made you buy this dress"...."How can you eat like a glutton"...
WHY ASK? you probably know the answer that the other person is going to give..."just being myself...doing what I like...eating what I like..how much I like...JUST LIKE THAT.
Any individual will not have a problem with what he/she is doing, but others will seem to. Beholder has the last word unfortunately....
Back again...when one is up and done..over and out with kicking oneself hard enough...he/she begins to let others do the kicking....only to realize that the first one was better...a little less harsh!

OVER and OUT....."No I'm not letting you kick my butt..."

fazebuk and kutkut

Long time since I bothered logging into my orkut account!! wondering...why is it even there? I deleted it once in 2006 and decided to add only people I knew/real friends onto my list of friends. And...ho..I'm again trapped...some 200 odd people on my list!!!
People were switching on to FB...Facebook. Somebody even asked me.."you don't know facebook"? And I felt I was doing a big crime by not being searchable on the most popular networking arena. And today..I have some 200 odd friends there too...

And twitter...don't even ask!! I hate twitter....I don't tweet. .."so sweet...what the ( beep)".
Initially..I thought the idea of social networking was limited to catching up with old pals and dear ones. Now it has come to the level of almost knowing what colour of undy one is wearing or at what time and mood does one intend to shit??!!! Take it in whatever sense you want...but I just get so annoyed at the tinniest of details being put up by people...as if they are doing a great favour by letting the world know.."whats on their mind".
Yes, sharing pics...and bringing up something different and interesting to share is definitely good. No I don't mean FB should become a news desk with latest happenings as informative stickers. But again..someone's tagged in a photograph!! yippee...( feels nice that you are a part of the group being shared with). The option of commenting on pics...hmm..not bad. Most often our folks comment on everything else, but the pic!! what a pity...> I mean there's a seperate space for asking the whereabouts, hows and why's to the person putting up things....Puhleeeeze not here on the tag!!
I sound like a lady from the Gen Y...detesting the so 'in' forms of communicating with people. I don't mind being labelled so! Yes...honestly...rather...my confession....I use FB to just get gossip updates....> though I hate myself for being so...my daily sense of curiosity to check what bullshit people write has reached the level of addiction.
For example...tommorow is Indian Independence day..!! ( As if the world doesn't know). But yeah...I will have hoards of my friends expressing their patriotism online...Wanna bet on their stupidity?

The usual...
Farmville, fishville....harvest/not to harvest....pheww!!! I tried it myself for a week....that was it!
" oh...your neighbour needs help...can you fertilise her crops?"....What the Fish...........
EVENTS...I have had exactly 3-4 genuine, decent invites to events. The rest..crap!! Spam....

But I can't blame it on all people. The co. has also created some dumb applications to keep the dumb so engrossed. And ...I too feel so dumb at times!!!

Someone then asked me...."you blog. Isn't that also telling the world 'whats on your mind'? But I guess...by now even you know the difference between the two.

P:S: Those who love FB , orkut, twitter....please continue loving it...express yourself very well. spare me!!!
I am just expressing my love for these networking sites. I sometimes think about email and the phone as the best ways of keeping in touch. At least...you are not giving out info to those who don't really matter much to you! And knowing the kind of impulsive person that I am..you never know..I may be out soon:)

August 12, 2010

Few questions I have asked recently..

Since the past three weeks I have been in the city of chandigarh...giving myself one more chance to either love it or hate, explore it beyond the bare basics of rock gardens and museums, devour the golgappas, kulchas and Rajmahhhh, try and interpret the 'koi gal nahis' to weighing ( literally) the amount of yapping....and further..
Something ( maybe a lot of things) make/s me wonder why I hated it earlier or was it just a CHANGE of place? Anyway...I have asked these a few couple of times here..
  1. Why is this place so confusing with circles and sectors everywhere? All look the same..
  2. So many gardens...all so neat, lawns well mowed..so much of ( visible) greenery. How do they manage?
  3. Do people here not eat pan? I have not seen them spit..nor have I seen what was spat!!
  4. Why are there no potholes in any of the roads that I have travelled for easily 1 hr in a day?..thats good coverage.
  5. Why do all buildings/apartments have separate overhead tanks for each flat unlike one common in Mumbai?
  6. Why do all houses/bungalows and apartments have huge balconies here? so typical of their architecture..
  7. why do all houses have atleast 7-8 doors? And why do all have a mesh/net door first and then the wooden one?
  8. why do people here prefer eating rice first and then the rotis?
  9. why is this place called that of the rich ones...when infact everything here costs half of what it does in central suburb of Mumbai? say even a mehendi...or a designer suit..
  10. why are there so less motor rickshaws and strikingly high numbers of cycle ricks ( poor guy fate...if a fat arse takes the ride)
  11. Do people here not read much? I mean, atleast on the net I didn't find any franchise of crossword, odyssey, landmark or any other popular book store located here.
These are some curiosities as of now. I am sure some more will pop up during my stay here for the next 2 weeks.
By the way, today I had lunch at sundarams, I guess the only authetic Southindian food joint. And the food was awesome...better then what I have had at cafe mysore or anand Bhavan at Matunga in Mumbai.
I wouldn't say I love the place in its entirety. Rather I'd say...I love it being a tourist here!

July 16, 2010

5 years and 10 hours

The first time that I have landed at an international destination. Like a fool...i have my connecting flight in next 1 hour...and I know I have a long way to walk. Yes dear...its Sydney International airport. I don't even know where I am ...I just know...I am in the right direction.I am happy..Iam tensed...all mixed emotions in me.
I have walked for 35 minutes now....am now getting into a bus to reach the domestic terminal. It all feels so fresh and nice...I am excited, two of my friends are coming to the airport to pick me up. After a lovely 10 minute drive..( yes, everything seems lovely), I arrive where I am to depart again from. But it's already late...I should be boarding now. But I'm just in the queue for checking in!!! Holy..."shit, I don't have money to buy new tickets, I am missing my flight...my parents will shoot me for missing my flight......oh shit.." I think I should just leave my bags in the queue and just beg and plead the lady to let me go..... I do that. And she says.." we'l put you in the next flight which is at half past". I again ask..." Am I supposed to pay anything extra..???"...."NO".....Ahhh...what a relief.
I'm hungry...and tired and sleepy. The sight of that clumsy vegan burger on Quantas and the thought that it was just 3 hours that I slept on flight and this stupid air hostess...one old lady..just had to wake me up..for another stupid boring tasteless breaky...All fresh in my mind. Making me more hungry..
Anyway, I am just waiting to board the flight. I smell fresh coffee...
Like the smartest of asses in the world...I have not bothered to keep change. All I have is a $50 note plus a few 100's! and I remember my brother having told me to keep change. So to avoid any kind of belittlement as I suppose, I will stay quiet and sacrifice that one cuppa coffee too.
Alright, I am boarding now. I know its a half an hour flight..Should I even expect a snack. Its been 10 minutes on..and I got nothing. I just have an apple from the previous flight..which I am not going to eat..( I have just had a dental treatment 2 days before I left India...do you expect me to ruin it by biting into that fruit directly...no way...Dental treatments are shit expensive abroad)
yipee..I have landed at Brisbane domestic airport...my friends are waiting helplessly..( aware that I had missed the flight, but obvious)..
But being the sweetest people that I knew them as...They are taking me to my new home. On way..I am promised of a chicken biryani dinner at 'Chutney Mary's.....
Well...I see the city...and its already an hour long drive...> finally I reach home. These guys are helping me get the luggage in..while Roshni is just waiting for me to get home so that she could leave for work. A sweet Mallu rommie..but I already have thoughts like...should I trust her to be nice?
Roshni says.." Prema, there's some chicken curry of last nite ...you can eat it for dinner if you want to. I will be back after 10 pm..I have the keys"...
ok..bye roshni....
"Alright Prema...your dinner is done...you must be tired. It's friday Night...we have a party...so we gotta go. Call us if you need anything..else we'l see you in the morning"...
I have no choice ..but to say.." ok guys..thank you so much.."

The new apartment...all silent and dark by 7 pm...its Winter...its cold. I don't know whether to watch the TV...or to call up any friends and talk to them...
Knowing nothing..being in a new place...left all alone ( although for just 8 hours more)...I feel like I have left everything to settle for this loneliness. I know nothing...nobody...and thats it...'tears are rolling down. I am crying so that I feel better...and then will feel so sleepy and retire....

Every single scene is so fresh in my mind. This happened Exactly 5 years and some 10 hours back....The attire that I was in...the lectures that I had been advised ( by friends and folks), thoughts of my first day at Uni..my meeting of new people..new friends...my orientation trip to Couran cove island...

My experience of living in Australia...of having met some of the best people...I can never forget!

You missed it!

where have you been...

you missed out on the good old times...
you were never there...when you were meant to be
cold vibes and attitude...mutually exchanged...
now when you see their pictures, smiles and streaks...
you know you missed it big time!

you wanted to be there...but never felt alike
some indifference...mattered more than just happy times together
and today when that guy says he will miss them all....you know how much he means
where were you? what kept you away?

you never hated them...you never loved them..
they were there..and you were too
usually silence spoke well for you guys..
a couple of them lost their lives...you were there then!!! why?
heart in heart...you knew you missed it all...

Now on...shed that layer of inhibition for God's sake..
just be with them when they need you around..
you never know...one of them may wither away suddenly...
don't want you to miss it again!!!

someone has taught you today...good times just don't happen..
you make it happen..!

( This is for one of my very special friends ...who I am sure will understand more than these lines...)

Kolkata

Kolkata in words..

1 - Shit
2- Not great
3-Smells like fish
4- Nothing but mishti's good
5- Yellow bugs and green ricks
6-Trams and tempo, all in abundance
7- I haven't seen the complete city yet!
8- Sweltering heat, no fun; prestige, power, money speak!
9- Some people told me it was bad, I believe
10- I swear, I will not visit kolkata any sooner, hopefully...

My first ever visit to the east of my country.....was directly to Netaji's land......formerly DumDum arpt....haha....really!! To me first impressions are almost long lasting ones. Kol....except for the wonderful hospitality and sweet delicacies, I must admit...I didn't like you much! You are famous as the city for the 'call'... some part of the city...the new town is debelapiing, your kaalture is something to learn about....Baat...sofaar...amake bhalo naa.
